Hi

I'm just buying new frame, and i dont know what buy - crmo or alu.
somebody is talking me that, alu is better than crmo, and other guy is talking crmo is better than alu.

So, i dont know ( I saw this topic at this forum, but I dont understand it, becouse I dont speek franch

)

Can U tell me what is better ??

Actually they said (some said) that Crmo will keep his first properties a longer time than Alu. An Alu frame will dure 1 or 2 year and then its performance will decrease where a crmo frame will be as the first day (or the second).

Je fais pas des études d'anglais, mon anglais est certes piteux. Mais ils m'ont donné une mention européenne au bac :innocent:

Steel lasts longer than alloy, and it's perfect for a street bike. Alu bends easier :-)

actually it's more on a long period of time that you see the differences, an alu frame will break sooner. It's said to be lighter, but with all the gussets, the weight is generaly the same than a cromo frame (2.7kg for a 24 Toy, 2.7kg for a NS suburban...)
Alu is stiffer, but it's only usefull in cross country. A bit of confort is not too much on hard landings, besides steel frames are cheaper.

You wanna change your NS frame ?

No, I dont ride at single speed, NS in poland is very very expensive, in our country bitch is coast 510 euros, but here we using "złotówki" :-()

I think cromo is more resistant than alu.
And Duncon this brand from to poland, it is more expensenvise too ?

No Duncon is cheap I think....

this frames are best in duncon production, a lot of polish guys are riding at that... ( http://duncon.pl )

Aluminium is suppose to be extremly rigid and steel smoother .
you ll feel it in the ride .

Il me semble que l'alu pur c'est tout mou ... ou c'est l'acier, je sais plus, mais je sais que ça tient pas tout seul

steel is more flexible than aluminium . aluminium is a smooth material but not flexible at all .
